Round up the family: mom, dad, grandpa, kids, and anyone else for the new PMC Family Ride.
For the first time the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge will open one of its routes to children as young as 13-years-old, Billy Starr announced this week.
The 47-mile “Family Ride” is a loop that starts and ends at Babson College in Wellesley on Sunday Aug. 2, 2009.
All of the other PMC routes have an age minimum of 15-years-old.
This will allow some experienced PMC Kids Ride cyclists to join in one of the seven major PMC routes, riding along side their parents and other family members.
With this change comes new fundraising requirements. Participants age 13 to 17 will have a fundraising minimum of $500 for this ride. Adults 18 and over participating in this one-day ride will have a $1,000 fundraising commitment.
